The “King of the Wing” Sprintcar series was founded by former Indy Car Driver Davey Hamilton in 2014. The series was developed to work with all teams, promoters, fans and sponsors to strengthen pavement winged sprint car racing from coast to coast working directly with all existing pavement sprint car series.  The series provides a rules package that can apply to all sprint cars and create race events that truly allows the promoters and racers to build bigger venues, show the sponsors and fans the world's fastest short track cars, and to promote some of the best short track drivers competing head-to-head no mater what part of the country they are from or what series they run on a regular basis.

Whether a 360 or 410, the “King of the Wing” series has developed a very competitive rules package. Drivers have competed in both 360 and 410 combinations and neither has run away with from the other and wins have been recorded by both.

In addition to the National Series Hamilton has founded a regional sprintcar series. The Western Sprintcar Series will run the same rules package as the King of the Wing National Series. Included in their schedule will be the 3 West Coast region races that are part of the King of the Wing National Series.
